Blue Archive Ichika 1/7 Scale Figure Review

JGPC Figures

This time, we are taking a look at Ichika from Blue Archive, released by Good Smile Company. Her gentle closed-eye smile, long dark-blue hair, red halo, feathered black wings, and bright red rifle create a calm but immediately recognizable display.

The figure does not rely on an exaggerated action pose. Instead, Ichika stands confidently with one hand on her hip and the other resting on her weapon, allowing her expression, slender silhouette, school uniform, wings, and equipment to remain clearly visible.

Packaging

The front of the box uses a pale blue, pink, and white design decorated with cherry blossoms. The large window gives a clear view of Ichika, her wings, halo, rifle, and circular display base before opening.

The red and dark-gray diagonal lines around the window match the colors used throughout Ichika’s uniform and equipment. The Trinity emblem and Blue Archive logo also help give the package a clean school-themed appearance.

The back uses another large window rather than covering the package with promotional photographs. This provides a direct preview of the long hair, wide black wings, red halo, and rifle from behind.

Because the wings extend far to both sides, the package is noticeably wider than the figure’s central body. The open design makes that display width easy to understand before assembly.

Blister & Contents

Inside the blister, the main figure, two large wing sections, red halo, assault rifle, circular base, clear support parts, and instructions are arranged separately.

The main body is packed in the center, while the curved wings occupy much of the space on both sides. The rifle and halo are also protected individually to avoid pressure on their thinner sections.

Assembly is relatively straightforward, but the long wing tips, halo points, hair strands, and rifle details should be handled carefully.

Overall Front View

The main front view presents Ichika in a relaxed and confident standing pose. Her right hand rests on the red rifle, while her left hand sits naturally against her hip.

The dark sailor uniform and wings create a broad black silhouette, while the red neckerchief, sleeve armband, rifle, base, and halo provide strong color accents.

Her feet are positioned close together, with one leg crossing slightly in front of the other. This keeps the stance elegant and relaxed rather than making her look ready to fire immediately.

From a slightly lower angle, the wings appear even larger around her body. Their long outer feathers curve downward and frame the legs without completely hiding the weapon or base.

The red halo sits directly above the head and remains easy to see against the white background. Its sharp four-pointed design contrasts well with Ichika’s soft smile and flowing hair.

Face & Gentle Expression

Ichika’s expression is one of the strongest parts of the figure. Both eyes are closed, and the small smile gives her a calm, friendly, and slightly amused appearance.

The expression is restrained rather than overly cheerful. That subtlety fits the relaxed pose and prevents the figure from feeling too energetic or theatrical.

Her dark-blue bangs fall evenly across the forehead, while a small red-and-blue hair clip adds a simple accent beside the face.

A closer front view shows the clean eyelash printing, soft cheek shading, and lightly painted mouth. The face remains readable even though the closed-eye design uses very few strong lines.

The black choker creates a clear border between her neck and the dark sailor collar. It also adds a slightly sharper detail to an otherwise soft facial presentation.

Dark Sailor Uniform

Ichika wears a cropped dark sailor-style uniform with thin red piping along the collar, sleeves, and skirt. The large red neckerchief provides the brightest color at the center of the body.

The cropped top leaves a narrow section of her stomach visible above the skirt. This small gap helps separate the upper and lower costume and makes her slender waist easier to read.

The pleated skirt is kept relatively simple, but each fold is clearly defined. Double red lines run around the lower edge and continue consistently across the raised pleats.

Legs, Rifle & Display Base

The lower-body close-up gives a clear view of Ichika’s slim legs, dark knee-high socks, black loafers, and the rifle resting beside her.

The long bare section between the short skirt and socks gives the figure a clean vertical silhouette. The slight crossing of the legs also makes the standing pose feel less rigid.

The circular base is divided into black and metallic red sections with narrow parallel lines between them. Ichika’s name is printed near the front, while a large Trinity-themed graphic appears beneath the figure.

A clear support helps hold the rifle in position. It remains visible at close range, but its compact size prevents it from distracting heavily from the weapon.

Front Three-Quarter View

The three-quarter view is one of the best angles for appreciating the complete composition. It keeps the face visible while showing the depth of the hair, wings, rifle, skirt, and base.

The hand on her hip gives the upper body a confident line, while the other arm remains relaxed beside the weapon. The pose feels dependable and composed, matching Ichika’s gentle expression.

The nearest wing extends far toward the viewer. Its large overlapping feathers create much more depth than can be seen from the direct front.

A closer crop reveals the contrast between the smooth skirt, matte socks, glossy shoes, metallic-red rifle body, and layered feather surfaces.

The rifle remains close to the body rather than being extended outward. This keeps the overall footprint manageable despite the wide wings.

Right-Side Silhouette

The right-side view shows how the long hair and wing structure extend behind Ichika. The body itself remains relatively narrow, while the surrounding parts create most of the figure’s display volume.

The dark-blue hair reaches beyond the waist and separates into several long, gently curved strands. Subtle blue and purple shading helps distinguish the layers from one another.

The outer wing curves downward almost to the base. Its pointed feathers create a sharp silhouette that contrasts with the smoother hair and school uniform.

Profile, Armband & Upper-Body Details

The closer side profile provides another attractive view of Ichika’s peaceful smile. The sculpted nose and chin remain soft, preserving the gentle appearance of the original design.

The bright red armband is one of the most detailed costume elements. Black lettering, white graphics, silver fasteners, and darker red stripes are reproduced across the small surface.

Her gloved hand rests firmly against the waist, creating subtle wrinkles around the sleeve and side of the uniform. These folds keep the upper body from appearing too smooth.

Opposite-Side View

From the opposite side, the rifle becomes less dominant and the nearest wing moves into the foreground. This gives the figure a noticeably different balance from the first side view.

The wing’s broad outer feathers partially frame the lower body, while the shorter inner feathers follow the curve of the skirt.

This angle is also useful for seeing how the red halo is attached above the head. The support is relatively discreet and is partly hidden by the hair when viewed from normal display height.

A lower side angle makes the halo and nearest wing feel especially large. The central figure remains calm and compact, creating a strong contrast with the sharper supernatural elements around her.

Red Dragon Assault Rifle

Ichika’s rifle is finished in a distinctive combination of bright red, dark gray, and black. The red upper body immediately connects the weapon with the halo, armband, neckerchief, and base.

The barrel, foregrip, receiver, magazine, stock, sights, and smaller mechanical details are sculpted separately enough to remain easy to identify.

Although the weapon is large, its vertical placement keeps it from covering Ichika’s face or uniform. It works as a strong secondary element without replacing her as the center of attention.

Dark Feathered Wings

The black wings are the figure’s most dramatic visual feature. They extend from behind the waist and curve outward in opposite directions, creating a wide horizontal silhouette.

Each wing contains several layers of feathers. The shorter inner rows overlap tightly near the body, while the outer feathers grow longer and end in sharply pointed tips.

The paint transitions from deep blue-black near the center into subtle violet tones near some of the edges. These gradients become particularly noticeable when light passes across the broad feather surfaces.

Full Rear View

From behind, the long hair becomes the central feature. It spreads across the entire upper back and covers much of the sailor collar and wing attachment area.

The red halo remains clearly visible above the dark hair. Its circular shape creates a strong focal point at the top of the otherwise mostly dark rear silhouette.

Both wings extend symmetrically from the lower back. The wide feather arrangement gives the figure a strong display presence even when the face is completely hidden.

A closer rear view shows the separation between individual hair strands. The sculpt uses both broad central sections and narrower pointed tips, preventing the large hair mass from looking flat.

The rifle remains visible beside the legs, while the wing feathers overlap the skirt from both sides. The dark colors are similar, but differences in surface texture keep the parts readable.

Rear Skirt & Wing Construction

The lower rear close-up provides a better look at the relationship between the skirt and wings. The inner feathers emerge close to the waist and spread outward above the legs.

The pleated skirt retains its clean red edging from behind. The simple costume shape helps prevent the already elaborate wing structure from making the figure feel overly crowded.

The smooth skin finish and dark clothing create a clear visual separation around the legs, even from this unusually low viewing angle.

Underskirt Sculpt & Lower Viewing Angles

The lowest rear angle reveals the underside construction of the pleated skirt and the connection point beneath the wings. The skirt maintains its layered shape rather than becoming a flat shell underneath.

The inner costume is finished in the same dark color family as the uniform. This keeps the lower sculpt visually consistent with the restrained black-and-red palette used throughout the figure.

The photograph is also useful for examining how the hair tips, skirt pleats, wing roots, and legs overlap from below.

From the low front angle, the crossed stance and long leg line become more pronounced. The red edging around the skirt remains sharply painted even along the raised lower folds.

These extreme angles are less representative of the normal display view, but they demonstrate that the underside and hidden surfaces have still received complete sculpting and paintwork.

Paintwork & Material Contrast

The figure uses a focused palette of dark navy, black, red, gray, pale skin tones, and translucent red. This limited color range helps the uniform, wings, rifle, halo, and base feel visually connected.

The hair contains subtle blue highlights, the wings shift toward violet near the edges, and the rifle uses multiple dark metallic finishes around its mechanical components.

The halo has a brighter translucent finish that separates it clearly from the matte hair. Glossy shoes and selected rifle parts provide smaller reflective accents near the bottom of the figure.

Display Presence

Ichika herself has a relatively straightforward standing pose, but the wide wings give the completed figure considerable shelf presence. Collectors should leave additional space on both sides rather than judging the footprint only by the circular base.

The figure works particularly well when viewed slightly below eye level. From this position, the gentle smile, red halo, uniform, rifle, and both wings remain visible within a single composition.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Good Smile Company’s Ichika 1/7 Scale Figure is a faithful and highly appealing representation of the Blue Archive character. The closed-eye smile, long dark-blue hair, cropped sailor uniform, red armband, translucent halo, detailed Red Dragon rifle, and broad feathered wings all feel carefully balanced.

The pose is simple, but that simplicity works in the figure’s favor. It keeps the character easy to recognize while giving collectors a clear view of the uniform, weapon, hair, wings, and slender standing silhouette.

For Blue Archive collectors who prefer calm character-focused figures over elaborate action scenes, Ichika offers a polished display with excellent color coordination and a particularly memorable rear silhouette.
