Packaging
The tall box uses a simple white and navy design with a large front window. The complete sailor-uniform display remains visible without opening the package.
The back features the original Kantoku illustration that inspired the figure. Its minimal design keeps the artwork as the main focus.
Inside the blister, the figure and parquet-style circular base come securely packed. The raised arms and long hair sections receive plenty of clearance inside the tray.
Sailor Fuku no Mannaka Figure – Overall Front View
The standard display recreates the original sailor-uniform concept. She raises both arms while tying her hair and holds a red hair tie between her lips.
The short white top and navy pleated skirt leave a small section of the waist visible. Meanwhile, the crossed-leg stance gives the otherwise simple standing pose a relaxed rhythm.
Face and Hair
The face uses large reddish-brown eyes, fine eyelashes, and a restrained expression. The red hair tie held between her lips adds personality to the scene.
Her black hair separates into a rounded central section and long side tails. Small red ties provide the only bright color accent around the hairstyle.
Sailor Uniform
The white sailor top uses blue-striped cuffs and collar details together with a vivid red neckerchief. Soft folds around the chest and waist keep the shirt from looking completely flat.
The navy skirt uses deep individual pleats and subtle blue shading. As a result, the simple school-uniform design retains enough depth under bright lighting.
Right-Side View
The side view shows the gentle curve created by the raised arms, short top, skirt, and crossed legs. The tied-back hair also becomes much easier to inspect.
From a slightly different angle, the neckerchief projects clearly from the shirt while the skirt keeps a compact silhouette.
The lower crop highlights the pleated skirt, long legs, dark knee-high socks, and brown loafers.
Opposite-Side Views
The opposite profile provides another clear look at the raised-arm pose. Meanwhile, the front hair strands frame the face without hiding the eyes.
A closer view shows the layered bangs, sleeve stripes, collar, and softly sculpted folds across the sailor top.
The skirt keeps its pleated structure cleanly from the side. The slightly angled waist also prevents the pose from feeling completely rigid.
This three-quarter angle offers a balanced view of the face, shirt, skirt, and crossed stance.
Full Rear View
From behind, the sailor collar and twin tails become the main details. The raised arms also leave the entire back of the uniform easy to inspect.
The hair uses broad sculpted grooves across the back of the head. Meanwhile, the two side tails fall naturally beside the sailor collar.
The rear of the shirt uses only a few gentle folds, keeping the design close to the clean style of the original illustration.
The full rear angle also shows the skirt shape, socks, loafers, and simple wooden-pattern base together.
Removable Sailor Uniform
Union Creative designed the sailor top and skirt as removable costume parts. After removing them, the figure can use the alternate white undergarment configuration based on additional artwork by Kantoku.
The pose, hairstyle, socks, shoes, and base remain unchanged. Therefore, the alternate setup mainly provides a clearer look at the underlying sculpt and costume construction.
Alternate Undergarment Display
The front view uses a simple white undergarment set with small pink ribbon accents. The restrained colors keep attention on the original hair-tying pose.
The complete alternate display retains the dark socks and brown loafers. As a result, it still shares several visual elements with the standard uniform version.
Alternate Upper-Body Details
The closer view shows the face, raised arms, hair ties, and small decorative details on the white top.
The simple costume uses scalloped edging and a small pink bow. Meanwhile, subtle sculpted folds keep the pale surfaces visible against a white background.
A closer crop documents the small ribbon and patterned trim used across the alternate costume.
Alternate Side Views
From the side, the alternate configuration makes the underlying body construction and raised-arm posture easier to see.
The closer side angle also shows how the twin-tail hairstyle separates from the shoulders and back.
Alternate Rear View
The full rear view provides a straightforward look at the hairstyle, raised arms, and alternate costume construction.
A closer crop highlights the sculpted hair grooves, twin tails, shoulder straps, and clean skin shading across the back.
Parquet-Style Display Base
The circular base uses a printed parquet-floor pattern in several warm wood tones. Its simple design fits the everyday atmosphere of the original illustration.
The brown loafers and dark socks also contrast naturally against the lighter wooden pattern.
Paintwork and Display Presence
Union Creative uses a restrained palette of white, navy, red, black, brown, and natural skin tones. As a result, the figure stays very close to Kantoku’s clean illustration style.
At approximately 280mm tall, the Sailor Fuku no Mannaka figure has substantial vertical presence despite its narrow footprint. The raised arms account for much of that height.
Sailor Fuku no Mannaka Figure – Final Thoughts
Overall, the Sailor Fuku no Mannaka figure offers a simple but distinctive recreation of Kantoku’s illustration. The hair-tying gesture, red hair tie, short sailor top, pleated skirt, twin tails, socks, loafers, and parquet-style base create an immediately recognizable display.
The standard sailor-uniform configuration provides the strongest presentation and best represents the original cover artwork. Meanwhile, the removable costume adds an extra display option for collectors who want to examine the underlying sculpt.
Most importantly, the large 280mm size gives the otherwise understated pose enough presence to work well as a standalone display.
