Fate/Grand Order – Rider / Altria Pendragon [Alter] 1/7 Scale Figure Review

This 1/7 scale figure of Rider / Altria Pendragon [Alter] from Fate/Grand Order goes for a very aggressive mix of elegance and fanservice. At first glance, the crown, long black coat, dark sword, and massive rifle give her a cool “queen with heavy weaponry” presence. But once you look closer, the real focus becomes clear: a tight, glossy dress with deep cutouts, a pushed-up bust, long legs in black stockings, and a rear design that shows off far more skin than you might expect.

The overall composition works because it balances those two sides well. She still feels like a dangerous Alter version of Artoria, but the costume is openly sexy, with exposed sides, a deep neckline, and a dramatically open back. It is a figure built just as much around body line as around character styling.

Packaging & Unboxing

Front of the box – dark blue tones and a moody design match the Alter atmosphere nicely, with the product name placed cleanly over the artwork.

Back of the box – product photos and layout previews help show both the weapon-heavy front view and the very revealing rear design.

Inside the blister – the long coat, large sword, and rifle are packed securely, which is important for a figure with so many extended parts.

The packaging does a good job of setting expectations. Even before opening, you can tell this is not a simple standing figure: the coat spreads out wide, the weapons are oversized, and the costume is much more revealing than a standard armored Artoria design.

Overall Front View

Full front view of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter 1/7 scale figure on the base
Full front view – the coat, sword, and rifle create a powerful silhouette, while the glossy dark dress keeps the body line fully visible.
Front full-body angle of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
A cleaner straight-on angle that makes the balance of weapons, legs, and coat flare especially easy to appreciate.
Front three-quarter view of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Three-quarter front view – the broad coat and slim body contrast very nicely, giving her both presence and elegance.

From the front, the figure is all about contrast. The coat and weapons make her feel imposing, but the central body sculpt is extremely slim and exposed. The dark metallic dress clings to the body and leaves the sides of the torso, much of the hips, and the upper chest visible. That tension between “combat queen” and “high-fashion fanservice” is what makes this figure memorable.

Face, Crown & Upper Body

Upper-body close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Upper-body close-up – the face stays calm and composed, while the crown and sharp collar pieces add a regal, dangerous edge.
Close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter face and bust
Face and bust close-up – the chest is pushed up by the cut of the outfit, giving the front view a clear erotic focal point without losing her stern expression.
High angle close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter torso and neckline
High angle view – from above, the neckline and exposed side sections of the dress stand out even more, making the costume feel almost like a sculpted swimsuit with royal styling.

The face is very well judged. She does not look exaggerated or playful; instead, she has a cool, slightly superior expression that suits Alter perfectly. That restraint makes the body-focused costume even more striking. The bust is clearly emphasized, with the outfit lifting and framing it from below, while the glossy finish gives the fabric a tight, almost lacquered look.

Torso, Hips & Legs

Close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter torso and upper legs
Torso close-up – the central dress panel and open side cutouts make the waist look extremely narrow before the line drops into long, exposed legs.
Close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter hips and thighs
Hip and thigh close-up – the cut of the outfit leaves a huge amount of upper thigh visible, and the black straps only emphasize how open the design really is.
Full-body front shot of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure focusing on legs and weapons
A very clean front composition where the long legs, stockings, and oversized weapons frame the body evenly from both sides.

The lower body is one of the biggest highlights here. The thigh exposure is extreme, but the black stocking sections and straps keep it visually interesting instead of just looking bare. Her legs are long, slim, and elegant rather than thick, which fits the “royal Alter” feel much better than a heavier lower-body sculpt would.

Side Views & Silhouette

Side angle of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Side angle – the curve of the bust, the narrow waist, and the open side cutouts all line up into a very sharp, elegant silhouette.
Another front-side angle of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Another angle where the body line becomes more obvious, especially the chest-to-waist transition and the clean spread of the legs.
Close-up side-front view of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter
Close side-front shot – this angle shows how much skin the costume reveals around the ribs, hips, and upper thighs while still feeling elegant rather than messy.

The side views make it clear how carefully the figure is designed. The coat flares outward, but the central body stays very tight and clean. That creates a silhouette that feels both dramatic and refined. The weapons help balance the composition so the figure never feels too “top-light” or awkward despite the exposed costume.

Rear View & Open Back Design

Full rear view of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Full rear view – the back is far more revealing than the front first suggests, with the dress opening almost completely and exposing most of her back and hip line.
Rear three-quarter view of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Rear three-quarter angle – the open-back design, side cutouts, and draped dress panels come together beautifully from here.
Back-side close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter hips and dress
Back-side close-up – the outfit wraps around the hips almost like a frame, making the exposed side skin and the curve of the lower back especially noticeable.

The back is where the figure becomes much more daring. Instead of a conventional dress rear, the costume is almost entirely open, with only narrow straps and the lower draped panel holding the design together. It gives the back a very sleek, almost dangerous kind of sexiness. Rather than focusing on a full exposed butt, the figure emphasizes lower back, hip cutouts, and the tension between coverage and exposure.

Back Detail & Costume Cutouts

Back close-up – the open spine line and side straps are probably the most provocative part of the whole design, especially with how low the rear opening goes.
Back-side full-body angle of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter figure
Rear-side full-body angle – from this position you can see how the dress panels move almost like fabric in the wind, despite being a static sculpt.
Back close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter shoulder blades and dress straps
Upper back detail – the bare back, shoulder line, and ribbon-like structure around the neck help keep the design elegant rather than purely revealing.

The rear costume design is honestly one of the strongest parts of the figure. It is much sexier than a simple front cleavage shot because it feels deliberate and stylish. The open back, crossing lines, and low hip framing make the figure rewarding to display from multiple angles instead of only from the front.

Weapons, Coat & Base

Sword-side close-up – the red glowing details on the sword add a strong visual accent against the dark navy and black palette.
Close-up of Rider Altria Pendragon Alter rifle and stockings
Rifle-side close-up – the rifle is large and heavy-looking, giving the figure extra presence and reinforcing the “armed Alter” image.

The sword and rifle are more than just accessories. They help define the entire tone of the figure, stopping it from becoming “just a sexy dress Artoria.” Together with the broad black coat and the decorated dark-blue base, they give the sculpt enough weight and identity to match the exposed costume.

Verdict

Hobby Japan’s Rider / Altria Pendragon [Alter] 1/7 scale figure is an excellent mix of power and seduction. It offers:

  • A strong Alter-like expression with good character presence
  • A glossy, body-hugging costume with dramatic cutouts across the chest, waist, hips, and back
  • Elegant long legs and stylish stocking detail
  • A striking rear view thanks to the almost fully open back design
  • Oversized weapons and a large coat that keep the figure visually heavy and impressive

If you like Fate figures that go beyond a standard armor look and lean into a darker, more glamorous kind of fanservice, this one is very easy to recommend. It is sexy, but not careless; revealing, but still stylish; and above all, it has a very strong shelf presence from almost any angle.
